Friends of the Baraboo River

Today the Baraboo River located in southern Wisconsin is the longest restored free flowing river east of the Mississippi River with several new launches in place along the river. The scenic beauty of the river is a must paddle experience for kayak and canoe enthusiasts. The Friends of the Baraboo River began in 2016 as an all-volunteer nonprofit with the mission to provide fundraising and volunteer support to; “Protect, restore and enhance the natural environment within the Baraboo River Corridor. With the Friends of the Baraboo River mobile app youll have real time river gauge information, find the location of launches in Sauk County, report logjams, and learn of new launch projects and events happening along the Baraboo River.
